Bob K.
Private tutor in Palaiseau, France
Education
I received my Bachelor's degree from MIT in Physics with a minor in Mathematics and a concentration in German Studies. Furthermore, I have completed a year-long Master's program in Physics at the University of Cambridge. Now, I am living in France as a first year PhD student in Theoretical Physics at EP in Palaiseau! Because of my educational background and tutoring experience, I am very qualified to tutor math and physics at roughly all levels!
Experience
Teaching is one of my primary passions. I gain immense satisfaction from seeing the moment that a student finally *gets* something that had previously eluded them. Throughout high school and during my time at MIT and Cambridge, I tutored for around five years at various levels (middle school, high school, university). I've spent years honing the ability to explain complex mathematical/physical concepts in ways that not only make sense, but allow my students to excel at the subjects. I've been tutoring online for quite some time with great success (for instance, I have a 96% approval rating on Chegg), and I want to continue tutoring in person in Paris! My areas of knowledge include, but are not limited to: - High school math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, etc.) - Calculus (single and multivariable) - Differential equations - Linear algebra - Abstract algebra - Real and complex analysis - High school physics - Classical mechanics - Electricity and magnetism - Special relativity - General relativity - Quantum mechanics - Statistical mechanics - Quantum field theory - Particle physics - Cosmology - Solid state/condensed matter physics - Optics/photonics - String theory

Hobbies
I have a great number of diverse hobbies, including music, chess, reading, television, old-school video games, language learning, math, and physics (yes, they count as hobbies too). Moreover, I am a huge people person, and I believe my most important hobby is simply socializing and being around people on a daily basis.
